How to Improve Your Grades Today

Things to do today to improve your grades:

Follow the body rules. Your mind is a muscle, so it can be strained, overused or exercised improperly just like any other muscle in your body. Follow these rules to keep your mind properly toned.

1) The 24 hour rule: Review lecture notes and all new information within 24 hours of first hearing or reading it.

2) The Break Up rule: Break reading into smaller pieces and read a few pages each day.

3) The Schedule rule: Going to bed at 10 p.m. one night and staying up until 2 a.m. the next is okay once in a while, but if your sleep schedule changes frequently, you will give yourself the equivalent of "jet lag."

4) The Attention Span Rule: The adult human attention span is 20 minutes. To prevent your mind from wandering, take notes while you read, or stop periodically to review or discuss what you read.
