Dial-Up Internet Access

Hi-speed connections are not available to off-campus users through the University. However, if you have a modem for your computer, you can still access the Internet by dialing in over your phone line. This service differs from a ResNet connection in the following ways:
  • No charge for this service.
  • Requires modem instead of Ethernet adapter.
  • Slower.
  • Limited to Internet and email only.
  • Subject to busy signals when others are using the service.
  • Ties up a phone line.
