UMM Scholarships for Study Abroad

“I'd love to study abroad, but I can't afford it.”

If you’ve said this, think again.  There are a multitude of funding options available starting with your regular financial aid and including scholarships, fee reductions, loans and more.  This website provides information on these options and anticipates common questions about financial aid for study abroad.  By studying these options and planning ahead, you can add a new dimension to your undergraduate experience.

UMM All-Programs Scholarships

Deadlines:

November 13, 2006 -- Winter Break, Spring Break and Spring Semester 2007 programs

February 12, 2007 -- May Session and summer programs

April 23, 2007 -- academic year 2007-08 and Fall Semester 2007 programs

UMM Early Application Scholarship--$500

Sign up early for any UMM Winter Break, May or Summer Session 2007 study abroad program and be eligible for a $500 scholarship. All early applicant names will be put in a drawing to win the scholarship.

This scholarship will be taken as a reduction to the program fee.

Deadline: December 15, 2006

UMM Multicultural Study Abroad Scholarship

This is a scholarship offered to encourage students of diverse backgrounds to study abroad. This year, $750 scholarships are available to students to study through any UMM study abroad program--Winter Break, Spring Break, May or summer, ELTAP, GST, our exchanges in China, Japan, Korea, and France or any other study abroad program offered through UMM. Applications are available in the Center for International Programs, 231 Community Services Building, or by request at cip@morris.umn.edu.
